St Marten

St Marten – We have been here many times, but today just decided to take the water taxi to the main beach for a relaxing day.  We had lunch at one of the beachside cafes, and then rented some beach chairs and a bucket of beer.  What a way to spend an afternoon.   If you’re interested in doing the same, take the water taxi from pier next to where the cruise ships dock.  $6 each, return.  The first stop is the Marina, the second stop is the main beach.  It’s only a 10 minute trip back to the cruise ship, but leave plenty of time so you don’t miss it.  My parents cruised here last year, and this was there favorite port.
